Fishing in saltwater
There are good fishing possibilities for cod, sea-salmon, macrel, flounder, eal and leng. Which fish places that gives best bite depends on the weather and the time of year.
From the fjord to open ocean is appr. 15 min. by boat. On land we have made workstations in the boathouse - 100 m. from the vacation houses.
Flyfishing
From Bjornevag is it about 15 km to the river Lygna.

The river Lygna is one of the most beautiful rivers in the southern part of Norway. It is possible to fish Salmon and Seatrout from the Fjord (Kvavik) to the Kvås waterfall.
In old times Lygna was a good salmon river with catches up to 3,8 tons (1947). After a good period in the fourties the salmon disappeared. The seatrout survived in the tributaries. The river was limed in 1991, and after this the catches increased again. From the 1998 season the cathes have been more than 1 ton pr. year.
Lygna is mainly a seatrout river, and together with the Mandal river the best in this part of Norway. The latest years even the salmon has recovered, and the catches in 2001 were 664 kg salmon og 585 kg seatrout. |

Fishing is free throughout the year of 16. Deposits is kr. 100,- and will be refunded at the places of purchase when the catch report is returned.
